What Should I Expect?
The length of a visit with me may vary. Learning to manage diabetes and monitor a diabetic diet is complicated so you may need four to five visits across a time span of three to six months. Also, yearly follow-ups are recommended. At these visits, we will assess how you’re feeling, re-adjust your diabetic diet goals if needed and incorporate any new information about diabetes and nutrition.
Most insurance plans cover services provided by a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN). Medicare Part B covers MNT for diabetes with NO cost to you! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about diabetes management and insurance.
